Our responsibilities spanned trailer concept development, copywriting, VO casting, game capture, motion graphics, video editing, sound design, and versioning.

The project kicked off with conceptualizing the trailer, with a clear focus on conveying the unique tension of Forever Winter—a tactical survival horror shooter where players navigate a frozen, war-torn world. LAYER crafted a concept that would highlight both the cooperative gameplay and the eerie atmosphere, ensuring that the trailer piqued curiosity and conveyed the stakes of surviving under the shadow of terrifying war machines.

The copywriting for the trailer was designed to grab attention, setting the tone for the dark and gritty world players would encounter. The VO casting process was integral to the trailer’s mood, and we carefully selected a voice that would evoke the tension and urgency of the game. Our team also conducted a mix of development capture and in-house game capture, ensuring we showcased the most intense moments, mechanics, and environments in the game.

In editing, we pieced together the best elements, balancing action, suspense, and gameplay to create a fast-paced, engaging overview of the game. Motion graphics were incorporated throughout to elevate key moments, adding intensity and polish to the trailer. Full sound design was developed to create an atmospheric audio experience that matched the gritty tone of the game, heightening the sense of danger and survival.

Finally, we created multiple versions of the trailer to cater to various platforms and formats, ensuring the message was consistent and optimized for different audiences.
